Clarkson University is seeking an IT Infrastructure Technician to install and maintain physical data and telephony infrastructure, including cabling, network electronics, and VoIP devices. The role provides hands-on level-1 and entry-level level-2 support under supervision of senior staff and maintains accurate records of equipment.
Based in Potsdam, NY, the position may require occasional night and weekend hours to support campus needs.
Pay Range: USD $23.00 - USD $24.75 /Hr.
The IT Infrastructure Technician is responsible for the installation and maintenance of physical data and telephony infrastructure â including cable plant, network electronics, and VoIP devices â and for the day-to-day support of the switching, wireless, and structured cabling that carry the University's network. The role provides hands-on layer-1 and entry-level layer-2 support under the direction of senior network staff, and maintains accurate records and inventory of all associated equipment.
