Fort Bend County is seeking an IT Manager responsible for managing infrastructure, voice, and audio-visual teams. The role requires ensuring service levels are met and coordinating vendor work for special events. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, seven years of work experience including five in management, and advanced knowledge in Cisco technologies.
Starting salary ranges from $56.85 to $71.06 per hour, depending on qualifications. Full-time employees enjoy a variety of benefits.
Plans, manages, and provides work direction for infrastructure, voice, and audio-visual teams. Ensuring customer service levels are adhered to and SLAs for response times are maintained. Coordinates work performed by outside vendors and monitors vendor service levels that are utilized in support of special events such as emergency response, elections support and network deployments. Participation and recommendation of new technology solutions for items such as network management, infrastructure design, remote connectivity support, and Justice Center support. Research and recommend technology in support of long-range infrastructure design and implementation planning. Recommends and implements infrastructure policies and other technology standards to ensure adherence of approved disaster recovery procedures. On call 24/7 for IT support issues. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
