Job summary

The DGS Office of External Affairs seeks an IT Infrastructure Specialist in Conway to support ArkansasIDEAS, a statewide professional development resource for K-12 educators. You will assist with system administration, troubleshooting, automation, and infrastructure improvements to ensure reliable, secure access to critical educational content.

You will work with a small technology team, applying knowledge of networks, operating systems, servers, and storage to maintain and improve IT

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or related field.
• Knowledge of networking concepts, OS, server infra and storage tech.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, networking and performance issues.
• Install, configure, maintain, and monitor IT infrastructure components.
• Preferred: 1+ years with Moodle LMS, Linux admin, VMware, or web hosting.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and maintenance for IT systems serving ArkansasIDEAS.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system performance issues
• Ability to install, configure, maintain, and monitor IT infrastructure components
• Preferred: 1+ years experience with Moodle LMS, Linux administration, VMware virtualization, or web application hosting environments
