Job summary

Southwest Power Pool in Little Rock seeks a Director, IT Infrastructure and Services to lead enterprise infrastructure, networking, database platforms and IT service management. You will drive strategy, delivery, lifecycle management and ensure secure, scalable, cost-effective technology services in a 24/7 operation.

The role requires 10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years of leadership, travel ~30%, and a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in IT/CS or related field.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible IT experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing infrastructure or technology operations teams.
• Moderate travel (approximately 30%).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi year infrastructure strategy and operational roadmap.
• Provide strategic leadership for enterprise technology operations (infrastructure, networking, cloud, database, ITSM).
• Establish engineering standards, practices, and lifecycle management processes.
• Ensure availability, performance, security, and recoverability of enterprise services.
• Lead IT Service Management and the ServiceNow platform to optimize workflows.
• Direct delivery and support of enterprise infrastructure across servers, networks, databases, cloud, storage, and hybrid environments.
• Strengthen resilience via disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Partner with EA, Cybersecurity, and business tech teams to ensure secure, compliant solutions.
• Provide executives with operational insights, SLAs, and risk assessments.
• Manage budgets, investments, contracts, and vendor partnerships.
• Build and lead a high performing technology organization and drive modernization across services.
