Job summary

Brown Sims is seeking a Director of Information Systems to lead IT operations across Houston, New Orleans, Gulfport, and South Florida with significant remote work. You will manage infrastructure, security, and end-user support while partnering with management to align technology with business goals.

You will supervise the Help Desk, administer cloud and on-premise systems, and oversee security, backup, DR, and legal apps. Travel ~10% to other offices is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience leading IT operations in a professional services or law firm environment.
• Ability to supervise support staff and manage a multi-office IT program.
• Strong communication skills for translating business needs into IT solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Information Systems function across multiple offices.
• Supervise Help Desk and mentor staff; ensure timely resolution of requests.
• Partner with firm management to translate tech needs into practical IT solutions.
• Administer server, directory services, and cloud environments.
• Oversee email security, file transfer, and productivity platforms.
• Manage network security, MFA, and endpoint protection.
• Own backup, DR operations, testing, and compliance.
• Support legal-specific apps including time, billing, and document management.
• Review and deploy internal applications with security as a gatekeeper.
• Develop IT policies, vendor relationships, and contract reviews.
