Job Description
  • Responsible for team management and support of Server build / OS support, including Linux, Microsoft Server 2008 R2, and Server 2012 R2.
  • Support of Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Group Policy, Microsoft AD, and Enterprise Faxing.
  • Support of Enterprise Backup Solutions and Enterprise Citrix Environment.
  • People leadership: setting expectations, coaching, counseling, training, development, evaluation, feedback, hiring, discipline, and separations; staffing management.
  • Organizational effectiveness: building industry knowledge; ensuring compliance with policies; promoting governance and process adherence.
  • Operate within broad goals and objectives, assess impact, make strategic decisions, and serve as final decision authority for department budget and project activities.
  • Work with business units to set priorities and annual investments, and manage the budget for supported products and services.
  • Challenge others to develop as leaders while clarifying roles and responsibilities.
  • Coordinate communication with all enterprise areas affecting scope, budget, risk, and resources; execute project activities with relevant business units.
  • Ensure projects follow System Development Life Cycle standards, tailoring methodology to meet audit standards.
  • Collaborate with end users, business technologists, and others to understand and prioritize business goals, develop system requirements, and refine design specifications.
  • Assist development staff, project managers, and business analysts in prioritizing IT opportunities, defining and addressing project dependencies.
  • Increase internal client satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
  • Manage all aspects of systems analysis, design, development, installation, maintenance, and enhancement for mission‑critical application systems.
  • Provide technical responses to Requests for Quotes (RFQ’s) and address technical product issues, deploying new software releases.
  • Allocate budget, staff, tools, and support for cost‑effective implementation and training.
  • Provide direction and integrate activities with other IT departments, ensuring successful implementation and support.
  • Manage day‑to‑day activities of the assigned area, providing leadership, growth opportunities, and performing hiring, performance appraisal, and problem resolution.
  • Develop and deliver training for internal IT and external users to ensure effective use of existing and new systems.
  • Ensure each team member is aware of risk within their functional area, observes policies, procedures, and regulations, and reports violations promptly.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications

10 years of IT work experience, including 5 years managing projects. Experience with projects in multiple technologies and functions, and demonstrated experience managing customer relationships.

  • Possesses a combination of business, behavioral, and technical leadership skills, especially an understanding of customers' business needs, processes, and functions.
  • Experience supervising support operations for a multi‑site environment, budget and expense management, and contract management.
  • Proven track record in deploying large‑scale technology solutions and interfacing between business and technical teams to develop strategies, gather requirements, estimate projects, and report progress.
  • Knowledge of leveraging business applications for competitive advantage.
  • Knowledge of current technologies and experience leading inter‑organization change for efficiency improvements.
  • Knowledge of the software development process, including requirements gathering, analysis and design, development tools and technologies, release and version control, contemporary testing methodologies, and deployment management.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong conceptual and creative skills.
  • Experience managing IT medium to large operating budgets.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all levels of management.
  • Ability to blend creativity, problem solving, and technical skills to refine existing theories or develop new approaches.
  • Ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding.
  • Ability to communicate needs and schedules to IT and clients.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
