BioTouch seeks an Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer II to design, implement, administer, and maintain a scalable enterprise infrastructure across Azure and on-prem environments. The role focuses on identity services, networking, and security to support two facilities in the Columbus, GA area, primarily onsite.

- Five or more years of progressively responsible experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure in a large environment.
- Three or more years hands-on Azure production environments experience (compute, networking, platform services).
- Four or more years designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure (switching, routing, wireless, VPN, firewalls).
- Experience administering enterprise server infrastructure, virtualization, storage, Active Directory, identity synchronization services.
- Ability to plan and implement infrastructure projects while maintaining production system availability.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across multiple technologies and coordinate resolutions with teams and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, administer, and maintain enterprise server infrastructure, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and core infrastructure services.
- Ensure the availability, performance, capacity, and reliability of enterprise infrastructure supporting business operations.
- Monitor infrastructure health and recommend improvements that enhance stability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure, including switching, routing, wireless, VPN connectivity, firewalls, and WANs.
- Plan, implement, and support network lifecycle management, infrastructure upgrades, and standardization initiatives.
- Lead or participate in infrastructure projects, technology deployments, and operational initiatives from planning through implementation.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide advanced technical support across enterprise systems.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, procedures, and infrastructure diagrams to support operational excellence.

The Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer II is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the organization's enterprise infrastructure, including Microsoft Azure cloud services, on-premises infrastructure, identity services, and enterprise networking. This position partners with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and technology partners to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable technology solutions that support business operations. The role is responsible for maintaining the health, availability, performance, and security of core infrastructure systems; leading or participating in infrastructure projects; troubleshooting complex technical issues; supporting disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives; and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation, standardization, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded infrastructure engineer who is comfortable working across multiple technologies, supporting a highly available enterprise environment, and continuously developing their technical expertise. Position must be based out of the greater Columbus, GA area for the support of two facilities within this region, mostly onsite, with some flexibility.
- Design, implement, administer, and maintain enterprise server infrastructure, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and core infrastructure services.
- Ensure the availability, performance, capacity, and reliability of enterprise infrastructure supporting business operations.

- Monitor network performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve reliability, resiliency, and security.
- Plan, implement, and support network lifecycle management, infrastructure upgrades, and standardization initiatives.
- Administer enterprise identity services and implement infrastructure security controls that protect organizational systems, data, and business operations.
- Design, maintain, and regularly validate backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions for both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Participate in security audits, vulnerability remediation, disaster recovery testing, and compliance initiatives.
- Lead or participate in infrastructure projects, technology deployments, and operational initiatives from planning through implementation.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide advanced technical support across enterprise systems.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, procedures, and infrastructure diagrams to support operational excellence.
- Coordinate with hardware, software, cloud, telecommunications, and managed service providers to support infrastructure operations and projects.
- Manage vendor support cases and technical escalations to resolution while ensuring minimal business disruption.
- Evaluate infrastructure technologies and provide recommendations that align with business objectives and operational requirements.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and IT staff to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation, standardization, monitoring, and process improvement.
- Communicate technical recommendations, project status, operational risks, and infrastructure health to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure in a medium to large enterprise environment (1,000 or more users and multiple business locations).
- Three (3) or more years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Azure production environments, including compute, networking, platform services, and infrastructure integration.
- Four (4) or more years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure, including switching, routing, wireless networking, VPN connectivity, and firewalls.
- Experience administering enterprise server infrastructure, virtualization platforms, storage systems, Active Directory, identity synchronization services, and other core infrastructure services.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and implement infrastructure projects while maintaining production system availability.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across multiple technologies and coordinating resolution with internal teams and external vendors.
- Windows Server & Identity Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and identity synchronization services.
- Virtualization & Storage Microsoft Hyper-V, Hyper-V Failover Clustering, enterprise SAN and software-defined storage solutions, iSCSI storage networking, and high availability infrastructure.
- Enterprise Networking Enterprise switching, routing, wireless networking, VPN connectivity, firewalls, and WAN technologies.
- Backup, Disaster Recovery & Security Enterprise backup, disaster recovery, infrastructure security, vulnerability remediation, and business continuity practices in collaboration with cross-functional IT teams.
