Job summary

Roche in Indianapolis seeks an IT Infrastructure Lead to drive the integration of acquired companies’ infrastructure, networks, data centers, and security into the Roche environment, leading site readiness, migrations, and vendor coordination.

You will guide cross‑functional teams through complex M&A tech work, ensure minimal downtime, and align architecture with regulatory requirements and security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of hands‑on IT infrastructure experience (Networking, Systems Architecture, Physical Layer, IT Operations).
• Regulated life sciences or pharmaceutical environments (GxP) knowledge preferred.
• Integration experience: physical IT integrations, data center migrations, office build‑outs.
• Technical: enterprise networking (LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, firewalls), system architecture (VMware, Nutanix, Windows/Linux), storage (SAN/NAS), physical infra (MDF/IDF).
• Vendor management: negotiate with low‑voltage contractors, vendors, and ISPs.
• Travel: 25‑40% to acquired sites for surveys, migrations, deployment phases.

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure due diligence during M&A assessments to identify risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate with business teams to align infra strategy with M&A timelines and compliance.
• Oversee Site Readiness and integration of networks, cloud, AV/meeting spaces, voice, and security.
• Design and execute integration plans for data center consolidation, site relocation, and system alignment.
• Plan and execute migrations, hardware relocations, and upgrades with minimal downtime.
• Design network integration strategies with SMEs; harmonize IP schemas and firewall rules.
• Manage site surveys, MDF/IDF retrofits, cabling installations; ensure performance and security.
• Collaborate with Corporate Information Security to implement unified security policies.
• Provide technical leadership to local teams, mentor engineers, and coordinate cross‑functional work.
• Communicate progress and risks to executives; maintain documentation.
