Job summary

Central Valley Ag, headquartered in York, Nebraska, seeks a Director of IT Infrastructure to own and guide the platform underpinning our network across multiple states. You will lead a cross-functional team, align technology with business goals, and forecast budgets for large-scale infrastructure initiatives to support seasonal peaks.

The role emphasizes strategic leadership over hands-on engineering, with interaction across regional leadership, finance, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years in IT infrastructure, including hands-on network and systems experience.
• Three or more years leading a technical team or demonstrated equivalent leadership responsibility.
• Demonstrated ownership of an operating and capital budget, including building and forecasting it.
• A track record of partnering with business leaders outside technology-operations, finance, or a commercial function.

Responsibilities

• Own the relationship with the business. Meet regularly with region and division leadership to anticipate needs before they are asked for.
• Own the infrastructure budget. Build, forecast, explain variance, and provide multi-year plans.
• Own the infrastructure strategy. Maintain a 3–5 year roadmap aligned to the company strategy and sequence work.
• Represent technology in business forums and translate technical risk into operational/financial terms for executives.
• Negotiate with vendors and carriers on commercial terms, renewals, and SLAs.
• Plan capacity against the business: growth, acquisitions, openings, closures, remodels.
• Lead, coach, and develop the IT Infrastructure team across network/sys/location support.
• Own infrastructure availability: network, servers, storage, cloud services, and telephony.
• Own endpoint management and day-to-day employee support across CVA locations.
• Own identity and directory services in partnership with IT Security.
• Own backup, recovery, and disaster recovery with regular testing.
• Plan and execute infrastructure lifecycle with a multi-year view and budget behind it.
• Deliver infrastructure for new, acquired, and remodeled locations on schedule.
• Own change management: planned, communicated, reversible, and aligned with seasonal peaks.
• Partner with IT Security on controls, patches, and incident response; with Enterprise Architecture on standards.
