Job summary

Central Valley Ag Cooperative is seeking a Director of IT Infrastructure to lead network, servers, storage, and cloud services across Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska. This role focuses on availability, budgeting, and strategic planning with a hands-off engineering approach for the team.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong business partnership, risk translation to executives, and capability to manage multi-year roadmaps while delivering on growth plans and acquisitions.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years in IT infrastructure, including hands-on network and systems experience.
• Three or more years leading a technical team or demonstrated equivalent leadership responsibility.
• Demonstrated ownership of an operating and capital budget, including forecasting and variance explanation.
• A track record of partnering with business leaders outside technology—operations, finance, or commercial.
• Experience with enterprise networking, routing, switching, WAN, and multi-site connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Own the infrastructure budget and annual operating plan; forecast and explain variances.
• Develop and defend a 3–5 year infrastructure roadmap aligned to business strategy.
• Represent technology in business forums and translate risk into operational terms.
• Lead, coach, and develop the IT Infrastructure team across regions.
• Ensure infrastructure uptime and capacity planning across locations.
