Job summary

ASM Research in the Columbus area is seeking an Incident Response Coordinator to lead end-to-end IT incident containment, escalation, and recovery, ensuring rapid restoration of mission-critical systems within a highly regulated federal environment.

You will coordinate across infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and vendors, maintain audit-ready documentation, participate in post-incident reviews, and drive improvements to runbooks and ITSM workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, CS, or related field.
• 4–7 years in incident management or incident response.
• Strong ITIL-aligned incident management and lifecycle knowledge.
• Proficiency with ITSM platforms and monitoring solutions; ability to manage multiple incidents.
• Excellent communication skills for technical staff and leadership.
• Active SECRET clearance or ability to obtain; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end incident response across lifecycle and multiple incidents.
• Maintain audit-ready runbooks and documentation; capture decisions and timelines.
• Engage infra/app/cyber/vendor dependencies.
• Provide structured leadership updates and status pages.
• Lead PIRs and drive improvements to runbooks and ITSM workflows.
• Escalate per SLA guidelines.
• Collect/store evidence for audits.
• Serve as single point of contact among teams.
• Track incidents in ITSM platforms and verify remediation steps.
• Participate in post-incident reviews to identify systemic issues.
