Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking an Incident Response Coordinator to manage end-to-end IT incident response in a highly regulated federal environment. You will coordinate across infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and vendors, ensuring timely resolution and accurate documentation throughout the incident lifecycle.

The role requires strong ITIL-based practices, excellent communication, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining audit-ready

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 4–7 years of experience in incident management, incident response, or related IT operations roles with direct coordination responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of ITIL-aligned incident management and structured incident response practices.
• Proficiency with IT service management platforms and monitoring solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Active SECRET clearance or ability to obtain and maintain required background investigation; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Organize response efforts across the full end-to-end lifecycle of incidents and high-impact events; set priorities; assign actions; track progress through restoration.
• Ensure accurate categorization, documentation, and knowledge updates; maintain audit-ready records and timelines.
• Use monitoring/ITSM data to route incidents and engage dependencies across infra, apps, cyber, and vendors.
• Provide structured internal communications and manage handoffs and continuity of incident coordination.
• Help lead post-incident reviews and translate lessons learned into updated runbooks and workflows.
• Elevate deteriorating/unresolved incidents per SLA/escalation guidelines.
• Collect and store key decisions and timelines for compliance and audits.
