Job summary

Quantum Leap is seeking a junior to mid-level IT Helpdesk Technician to support and maintain internal services in a secure Linux-based environment with MacOS. The role emphasizes Apple laptop deployment, cross-platform support, and working at the Leesburg office in Virginia.

Candidates should have Linux and Mac experience, be able to obtain a security clearance (U.S. citizenship required), and be willing to work in a tightly governed, collaborative setting.

We are looking for a junior to mid-level IT Helpdesk Technician to help support and maintain our internal services. A successful candidate must have the capacity and desire to learn. Our environment is a highly secure Linux based environment utilizing MacOS and Linux workstations. Windows does not live here, so if you have Linux skills and are familiar with Apple laptops, you are the candidates we want to talk to.

• Must be able to obtain a security clearance, therefore U.S. citizenship is required
• Must be able to work out of the Leesburg office 5 days a week

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant area desired.
• Administration of open-source software (e.g. OpenSearch, Nextcloud, ABM, osTicket, Zulip etc.)
• Ability to write scripts as needed (e.g., shell scripts, Python, Perl, PHP, etc.)
• Knowledge of common business services very desirable

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range

$80,000 - $95,000. Salary ranges reflect compensation for qualified candidates across a range of experience levels and are flexible; actual salary will be determined based on demonstrated skills, experience, and performance.

• 6% 401(k) company match with immediate vesting, educational assistance up to $7,000 per year, 100% insurance premium subsidy for employees (75% for dependents), Anthem medical, Guardian dental, life and disability coverage, 3 weeks’ vacation, 2 weeks sick leave, and 11 holidays.
