Job summary

The Larson Group Peterbilt is seeking an experienced IT Helpdesk Technician to join our team. You will provide level one and two user support, assist in maintenance, installation, and upgrades of company-wide PC software and hardware, and collaborate with managers to ensure daily up-time.

Responsibilities include handling CDK and DMS system support, documenting issues, training staff on new products, and maintaining strong customer care and communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in business, technology, marketing, accounting, or related disciplines.
• 2-4 years’ experience in customer support in automotive, technical certifications, or relevant education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support for CDK and desktop support.
• Documents and monitors problems thoroughly to ensure timely resolution.
• Identifies, analyzes, and resolves a high percentage of technical problems related to CDK/DMS.
• Assist Managers with training and coordination of new products, upgrades and problem areas.
• Superior customer care, interpersonal, written and telephone communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Windows desktop software and operating systems.
• Basic knowledge of network connectivity and cybersecurity technologies.
• Familiar with dealership technologies (eCAT, OEM systems, POS, Inventory, BI).
• Familiar with reporting systems, databases and AI is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; on-call 24x7 on a rotating basis.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and other productivity apps.
• Ability to learn applications quickly and work as part of a team.
