Job summary

U.S. Coast Guard in Chesapeake, VA seeks an IT Network Specialist (HelpDesk/CustSupport) to provide first-line IT support for CSC and Coast Guard Exchange operations.

You will troubleshoot issues on workstations, servers, and networks, ensuring secure configurations and reliable service. Applicants should have an associate's degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience) and solid helpdesk background including MS Office 365.

Qualifications

• Certificate or associate's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or closely related field; or high school diploma or GED and two (2) years of helpdesk support including MS Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT Helpdesk support for CSC and its Exchanges; first line of end-user support via ticket system, phone, email and walk-up.
• Install and test system security configuration; monitor, troubleshoot and maintain workstations and servers.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal communications and deliver excellent customer service in IT assistance.
