Job summary

CannonDesign in Minneapolis is seeking a part‑time IT Helpdesk Technician to support end users with Windows, Office, and basic hardware tasks. You will work with the IT team to manage tickets, set up equipment, and assist with upgrades, while maintaining professional communication and user-friendly resolutions.

This in‑office role averages 24–32 hours per week, with potential for discretionary bonuses and a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an Associate or Bachelor’s degree program in Information Technology or related field.
• Knowledge of MS Windows desktop and Microsoft Office is required.
• Strong communication skills and innovative thinking are essential.
• Ability to work with the IT team to provide technical resolutions in a user-friendly manner.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Helpdesk: manage tickets, set expectations for resolution times, and close tickets.
• Provide end-user support for Windows and Microsoft Office for local and remote users.
• Prepare, set up, and coordinate employee equipment.
• Identify areas for upgrades and work with System Administrators to schedule replacements.
• Participate in testing and evaluation of hardware and software with IT staff.
• Adapt/modify existing hardware and software to meet needs.
• Maintain peripherals (printers).
• Travel may be required.
• May perform other duties as required.
