Job summary

Eddy County is seeking an Information Technology Specialist I to provide Help Desk support for computers, email, Internet access, applications, printers, copiers, scanning services, phones, and AV equipment. You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while maintaining and securing the county’s diverse IT network.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, plus two years of troubleshooter experience and four years on Windows platforms, a valid New Mexico driver’s license, and strong

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; two years of systems troubleshooting experience.
• Four years of experience with Windows platforms.
• Valid NM driver\u2019s license with insurability, no DWI, and no more than two moving violations in past three years.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English, verbally and in writing.
• May work irregular hours, respond to call back requests, attend meetings and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Provide Help Desk support for PCs, email, Internet, applications, printers, copiers, scanning services, phones, and AV equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on Eddy County\u2019s network.
• Maintain computers and peripheral equipment and ensure data confidentiality.
• Attend job-related meetings and trainings as needed.
