Job summary

Mantell Associates partners with an established API CDMO to recruit an IT Head of Dynamics 365 who will own the ERP roadmap and lead its evolution in a validated GxP manufacturing environment.

You will sit at the intersection of business, IT, quality/compliance and outsourced delivery partners, shaping how the ERP platform supports operations, growth and digital strategy.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in ERP roles with expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.
• Strong Manufacturing and Supply Chain process design knowledge.
• Experience in GxP or tightly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience configuring D365.
• Proficient with KPIs, reporting frameworks and analytics tools.
• Familiarity with AI in ERP and analytics contexts.
• Exposure to label printing and warehouse handheld devices.
• Proven track record managing third-party implementations or MSPs.

Responsibilities

• Set the direction for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations roadmap.

Mantell Associates is partnered exclusively with an established API CDMO to recruit an IT Head of Dynamics 365, who will take ownership of the organisation's ERP roadmap and lead its evolution across a validated, GxP manufacturing environment.

This is a senior, cross-functional role, sitting at the intersection of the business, IT, quality/compliance and outsourced delivery partners, where you'll shape how the ERP platform supports operations, growth and long-term digital strategy.

IT Head of Dynamics 365 - Responsibilities

• Set the direction for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, building and maintaining a multi-year roadmap centred on Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Warehouse Management capabilities
• Turn business priorities into a clear, prioritised programme of ERP enhancements, balancing new demand against technical debt in partnership with senior stakeholders
• Take functional ownership of the D365 F&O platform, running requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis and solution design for new initiatives
• Get hands-on with system configuration for day-to-day and moderately complex build requirements
• Oversee and sign off the design of larger, more complex enhancements delivered through third-party implementation partners
• Act as the main point of contact for outsourced delivery teams, reviewing their proposed solutions and holding them to account on quality and fit
• Work closely with internal IT colleagues on the technical backbone of the system - integrations, environments, security and release management
• Own the change control and validation process for all ERP changes, ensuring every step meets GxP expectations
• Guide URS/FRS documentation, participate in design reviews, and support UAT, working alongside Compliance/CSV colleagues to keep the environment inspection-ready
• Provide functional direction for label-printing systems and the handheld/mobile devices used on the warehouse floor
• Manage the connective tissue between D365 and other operational systems it integrates with
• Partner with the Data & Analytics function to translate operational needs into well-defined KPIs and reporting requirements
• Help business stakeholders turn process and performance questions into practical, usable dashboards
• Bring a point of view on when standard reporting is the right tool versus when AI-driven analytics adds more value, advising the business accordingly
• Act as the communication hub linking business, IT, compliance, data and delivery partners, making sure GxP-relevant changes carry proper documented impact assessments
• Build and run a community of Business Process Owners and Subject Matter Experts across the organisation
• Make sure training materials, SOPs and work instructions are current and signed off before any validated release goes live
• Lead the internal IT team responsible for keeping the ERP system and its environment healthy day to day

IT Head of Dynamics 365 - Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent hands-on experience
• 8+ years working in ERP roles, with deep, demonstrable expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O
• Strong grounding in Manufacturing and Supply Chain process design
• Prior experience operating within GxP or another tightly regulated manufacturing setting is essential
• Direct, hands-on experience configuring D365
• Comfortable working with KPIs, reporting frameworks and analytics tools to support business decision-making
• Familiarity with how AI capabilities can be applied within an ERP and analytics context
• Exposure to label-printing technology and warehouse handheld/mobile device solutions
• A track record of successfully managing third-party implementation or managed service partners
