Job summary

Quick-Quack-Car-Wash seeks an IT Field Technician to install hardware and software, support and troubleshoot systems, and program security, camera, alarm, and access control systems. You will perform installations of new store equipment with local Field Techs and other company installation teams.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and networking knowledge (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP). A 4–5 year IT experience is preferred; driving record must be clean and you must be able to lift up

Job Summary:

This position consists of installing hardware and software, supporting, and troubleshooting hardware and software problems, working with staff, and programming security, camera, alarm, and access control systems. perform installations of new store equipment according to departmental standards while working alongside local Field Techs and other company installation teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sets up hardware and networking equipment and installs and configures the software as needed.
• Identifies, investigates, and resolves users’ problems with computer software and hardware.
• Diagnoses network issues and resolves to keep systems up 100% of the time.
• Guides users and non-technical Team Members through diagnostic and troubleshooting processes, which may include the use of diagnostic tools and software and/or following verbal instructions.
• Installs car wash site network system including running cable and terminating connections.
• Inspects LAN infrastructure and fixes minor or major problems/bugs.
• Administers, sets up, and installs point-of-sale hardware and software.
• Tests and configures PC software and maintains and repairs hardware and peripheral devices.
• Administers software deployments on a mobile platform.
• Responsible for configuring and tracking Apple iPads in the field.
• Organizes and schedules hardware upgrades and maintenance.
• Fields support calls, chat, email, and/or other communication from users with inquiries regarding software programming, connectivity, printing, and similar concerns.
• Applies knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems.
• Collaborates with programmers to explain errors and/or recommend modifications in programs.
• Travel more than 50% of the time.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
