Job summary

Sterling Infrastructure is seeking an experienced IT Field Support Technician II to join their team on real-world projects across our construction operations. • Solid networking fundamentals: VLANs, VPN, switches, TCP/IP.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site IT resource for assigned business units.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and mobile devices with minimal escalation.
• Support HCSS (HeavyBid, HeavyJob, Equipment360 & more).
• Deploy and configure devices using Intune / MDM tools.
• Support local network equipment (switches, wireless, VPNs).
• Partner with Infrastructure, Applications, and Cybersecurity teams.
• Mentor Field Support Technician I staff.
• Lead site IT projects like office moves, refresh cycles, and new jobsite setups.

Position Requirements

What You Bring

• 5+ years of IT support experience (field or distributed environments preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Group Policy
• Solid networking fundamentals (VLANs, VPN, switches, TCP/IP)
• Experience with Intune or enterprise endpoint management
• HCSS experience strongly preferred
• CompTIA A+ and Network+ required
• Construction or field operations experience is a big plus
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites
