Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking a Systems Analyst to support Epic Cadence and related health IT systems. You will analyze requirements, design and build within the EMR ecosystem, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while maintaining security and efficiency.

The role emphasizes strong communication, training, and implementation experience, with onboarding EPIC certification and ongoing system enhancements across clinical and administrative teams.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma with 4 years of relevant experience or Associate's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
  • EPIC application certification required after onboarding.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills; prior implementation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and install upgrades and/or new implementations for Epic Cadence and related systems.
  • Troubleshoot application issues to determine best resolution and maintain system integrity.
  • Maintain documentation of all system configurations and changes.
  • Meet project deadlines and communicate progress and risks to leadership and customers.

Epic Cadence is the scheduling and appointment management module within the Epic Systems electronic health record (EHR) platform. It helps hospitals and clinics manage patient appointments, provider calendars, room allocations, check-ins, and waitlists efficiently.

The Systems Analyst performs a variety of technical work associated with analyzing user requirements, procedures and problems to automate clinical functions or to improve existing information technology related systems. Develops the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), ancillary application and inter-related systems to meet use and regulatory standards as well as to meet the needs of the system. Designing and building within assigned application/system to meet the needs of providers, staff, and patients. Assists in developing the tools, the providers and staff need to give health care to the patients while ensuring security and efficiency.

GENERAL DUTIES
IT System Support & Maintenance:
  • Applies analytical skills and related application knowledge to design, build and install upgrades and/or new implementations.
  • Troubleshoots application issues to determine best resolution.
  • Performs necessary maintenance tasks for assigned application(s) as required.
  • Reviews and test changes in newly released software to ensure integrity.
  • Maintains necessary documentation to reflect current system state.
  • Meets all project deadlines.
  • Effectively communicates with leadership and customers of progress and potential risk.
Documentation
  • Maintains accurate documentation of all system configurations and other required areas.
  • Prepares detailed programming and/or integration specifications as required.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Required: High School Diploma (4 years of relevant experience in Lieu of Bachelors)
  • Required: Associate's Degree (2 years of relevant experience in Lieu of Bachelors)
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred: Masters Degree

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4 years With High School Diploma, technical proficiency required including appropriate pre-employment screening OR
  • 2 years With Associate's Degree, technical proficiency required including appropriate pre-employment screening OR
  • Preferred: Prior experience in relevant health care, teaching, or training/adult learning field, especially training Epic.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills. Prior implementation experience a plus.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
  • EPIC application certification required to be obtained after initial onboarding and is expected to be maintained as required by Epic - CEE
