UM01 University of Maryland College Park (UMCP) is hiring an IT Software Engineer for Workday Integration. This role involves hands-on development to migrate UMD computing systems to cloud solutions. Responsibilities include implementing solutions, participating in peer reviews, and documentation.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree, 3+ years of experience in data integrations, and skills in technologies like SOAP, REST APIs, and SQL. A master's degree and experience with Workday's Integration Framework are preferred.
Job Description Summary: This position is available within the University of Maryland’s Division of Information Technology (DIT). Join our team to be a part of the exciting transformation as we migrate UMD computing systems to a modern cloud-based solution. The IT Software Engineer, Workday Integration will use Workday integration code including Studio, EIB, Reports, and BIRTs as part of the Workday Student implementation. The position is hands‑on, agile, team‑based development.
Sedentary work. Employee will need to sit for long periods of time to work on a computer, and may need to travel occasionally to meet with clients and customers on and off campus. May need to work evenings and/or weekends.
This position is considered essential and may require the employee to work at the normal work location or an alternative location during a major catastrophic event, weather emergency, or other operational emergency to help maintain continuity of University services. May be required to work evenings, nights, weekends, or different shifts for extended periods.
