Job summary

Einride is seeking an IT Engineer for the Austin, TX office to keep US sites running and our engineering hardware healthy. You'll join the IT team (primarily based in Sweden, with a part-time Austin member) and support Linux laptops, macOS/Windows, and hardware.

The role involves writing automation, integrating tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, Meraki network support, and collaborating across time zones with Sweden. Travel up to 15%, and a drive license required.

Qualifications

• Solid Linux systems administration experience.
• Basic coding in Python or Go.
• Networking fundamentals with Meraki or similar gear.
• End-user support across mixed OS environments.
• Strong written and spoken communication.
• Able to travel up to 15% and lift hardware.

Responsibilities

• Provide setup, troubleshooting, and systems administration for engineers' Linux laptops and Linux servers.
• Offer Tier 2-3 support for macOS and Windows users.
• Evaluate new application requests and propose tool usage.
• Assist staff with AI tools like Claude and Gemini.
• Write integrations and automations between Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, and device mgmt tools.
• Troubleshoot the onsite Meraki network with Sweden team and VPN.
• Write user and IT department documentation.
