Job summary

Avride in Austin, TX is seeking an Embedded Tools Engineer to contribute across the full software lifecycle for our autonomous vehicles and robots. You will help design and build CI/CD pipelines and hardware-in-loop systems that ensure quality, safety, and stability of our embedded software and firmware deployments.

This hands-on role requires strong Python and C++ skills, experience with GitHub Actions, Bazel, Nix, and Docker, plus the ability to read electrical schematics and work across

Qualifications

• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions).
• Proficient Python with Asyncio and hardware interaction (pyserial, python-can, smbus2).
• Hands-on with Bazel and Nix for reproducible builds.
• C++ firmware code reading, interpretation, debugging.
• Scripting in Bash for system configuration.
• Understanding CAN/UART/Ethernet/I2C interfaces.
• Strong ownership and problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and HIL systems for embedded software.
• Create tools for testing, diagnostics, and management of embedded systems.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure integration.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and implement improvements.
• Support development teams with CI/CD processes and builds.
