Job summary

Etched.ai, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineer to manage our data center and hardware lab environments in San Jose. You will oversee power distribution, network design, and hardware management to support next-generation inference hardware.

This role requires more than traditional operations; you will be integral to design decisions and vendor relationships that define our high-performance computing capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on data center engineering or operations experience.
• Experience designing and deploying high-density compute environments above 20 kW/rack.
• Ability to read electrical one-line diagrams and facility documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own rack layout, capacity planning, power distribution, and network design.
• Collaborate with vendors for site evaluation and contract negotiation.
• Build and operate monitoring and alerting for environmental health.
