Job summary

Hamilton Barnes is seeking an IT Support Analyst for an onsite helpdesk role with a 12-month contract in Illinois. The successful candidate will support a demanding, tech‑literate user base in a globally recognized financial technology environment, answering requests by phone, email, and in person.

You’ll maintain deskside hardware and software, troubleshoot Windows 11, MacOS, and Office apps, and help with network issues while contributing to process improvements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of IT helpdesk experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 11, MacOS, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic understanding of network principles and troubleshooting.
• Excellent customer service skills and composure under pressure.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, strong candidates without a degree will be considered.
• Experience with virtual desktop environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve technical support requests via phone, email, and in person.
• Maintain and support desktop PCs, laptops, hardware, software, and OS (Windows 11 and MacOS).
• Document, track, and monitor issues through to resolution, keeping users informed.
• Troubleshoot basic network issues and escalate when needed.
• Support users in virtual desktop environments.
• Identify recurring problems and contribute to process improvements.
• Other duties as assigned in a roll-up-your-sleeves environment.

Responsibilities:

Skills/Must Have:

Salary:
