Job summary

Compal USA Technology is expanding its IT team in Texas, seeking an IT Engineer Assistant to design, implement, maintain, and secure the company’s IT infrastructure. The role spans system administration (servers, storage, cloud) and network engineering (LAN/WAN, firewalls, connectivity) to ensure high availability and performance across enterprise systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least 2 years of professional experience in System or Network Administration.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, maintain, and secure IT infrastructure.
Administer Windows Server and Linux environments; manage directories and services (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, WSUS, SQL Server).
Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and capacity planning.
Oversee messaging and collaboration platforms (Exchange, Web Server).
Design, deploy, and manage LAN/WAN infrastructure; implement security via Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS.
Monitor network and cloud services; ensure high availability and security.
Prepare documentation; collaborate with teams to support IT projects.
