Job summary

IB Abel is seeking an experienced Director of Information Technology to lead IT strategy, infrastructure, security, and service delivery for a leading electrical contractor. The role reports to senior management and requires collaboration across departments to align technology with business goals.

The position emphasizes capacity planning, risk assessment, and the adoption of new technologies, with a focus on reliability and security of IT operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or similar preferred.
• Five or more years of progressive experience in IT operations, infrastructure management, systems administration, or technology management.
• Demonstrated experience managing IT projects, implementing technology solutions, and supporting business systems.
• Prior experience leading IT personnel, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, or managing technology service providers preferred.
• Experience supporting a multi-department organization with diverse operational and technology needs preferred.
• Local to York, Pennsylvania with occasional travel to other offices and sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop the company’s IT strategy, vision, and capacity plans; evaluate trends and propose solutions.
• Manage design, deployment, and optimization of IT infrastructure and services.
• Develop security plans, conduct risk assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee technical support and service delivery to minimize disruptions.
• Lead IT projects from planning through deployment and evaluation.
• Mentor IT staff and coordinate training on new technologies.
