Job summary

IB Abel’s seeks an experienced Director of Service & Accounts to lead the Service & Accounts Department through the full project lifecycle, overseeing safety, quality, estimation, and profitability.

You will supervise Project Managers/Estimators and field personnel, coordinate with departments, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining strong client relationships and budget controls. York, PA-based with travel to other offices; flexible work-from-home options when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, or related field.
• 5–8 years in management/leadership roles in electrical construction or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of the local construction services industry and customer expectations.
• Proficient in MS Office; strong Excel, Word, Primavera P6 and MS Project skills.
• Local to York, PA with regular travel to other offices and sites; flex to work from home when appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Safety & field compliance: enforce safe practices and conduct field audits.
• Leadership & team development: lead managers, estimators, and field personnel with coaching and accountability.
• Operations & project management: align resource schedules and ensure PM processes across departments.
• Performance management: monitor KPIs and drive process improvements for profitability.
• Customer relations: maintain strong client relationships and timely issue resolution.
• Financial management: oversee revenue/cost reporting and timely billing/collections.
