Job summary

Confidential Biotech in Watertown, MA, is seeking an experienced IT leader to design and oversee a secure, scalable technology backbone that enables scientific innovation and disciplined growth. You will partner with scientists, clinicians, and business leaders to translate needs into practical IT solutions.

The role focuses on infrastructure, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and day-to-day IT operations in a high-collaboration, on-site environment five days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering or related field is required.
• 10+ years IT experience spanning infrastructure, security, and user support.
• Experience in regulated life sciences environments is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation, and ongoing improvement of core IT services.
• Design a secure, scalable technology environment across endpoints and cloud services.
• Partner with researchers and business leads to translate requirements into tech solutions.
• Oversee vendors and manage budgets, performance, and issue resolution.
• Establish IT governance, data integrity, cybersecurity, and business continuity.
• Support validated platforms and change management for regulated workflows.
• Monitor incidents and drive root-cause resolution to protect productivity.
• Plan for growth, workforce expansion, and evolving priorities.
