Job summary

ORNL Federal Credit Union seeks an IT Development Business Analyst to bridge business units with the Enhancements & Integrations department, translating needs into actionable requirements for technology solutions, including RPA, integrations, and digital channels.

You will conduct discovery, document current processes, and help prioritize initiatives based on value, risk, and strategic alignment while ensuring compliance and strong member experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role in technology or operations.
• Experience with requirements gathering, process analysis, and documentation for system enhancements, integrations, and automation.
• Familiarity with SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall) and cross-functional IT/business collaboration.
• Experience with business process mapping tools; exposure to low-code automation or RPA platforms preferred.
• Understanding of control, documentation, and audit considerations in regulated environments (NCUA/FFIEC/GLBA) preferred.
• Experience in financial services or credit unions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for business units to submit, discuss, and refine ideas, enhancement requests, and technology-related issues.
• Conduct discovery sessions, interviews, and workshops with stakeholders to understand processes and improvement opportunities.
• Analyze business processes and workflows, documenting current state and recommending future state solutions including RPA, integrations, or configuration changes.
• Elicit, document, and validate requirements (BRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases).
• Collaborate with RPA & Automation Developer and other teams to ensure feasibility and proper translation into designs.
• Maintain enhancement and integrations backlog including intake, triage, prioritization, and status tracking across units.
• Support creation of business cases with cost/benefit analyses and impact assessments.
• Assist in solution design discussions ensuring alignment with needs and compliance.
• Coordinate and support UAT including test planning and validation against requirements.
