Job summary

Vermeer Corporation in Iowa is seeking a student to assist in developing and validating data integration solutions. You will understand and align requirements to resulting integration product delivery, and you should be a fast learner with a flexible mindset.

You will analyze ETL techniques, engage with integration developers, and follow Agile practices to design and verify solutions using REST, XML/JSON, SOAP, and data warehouse concepts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Currently a student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Informatics or related field.
• Ability to validate data from web services and integration technologies (REST, XML/JSON, SOAP, ETL).
• Knowledge of relational databases, SQL queries, data modeling and data warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data ingestion, transformation, and loading (ETL) techniques for accuracy.
• Engage with integration developers to design and verify solutions using Agile methodology.
• Follow best practices and security standards for data, including PII.
• Ensure data-related activities adhere to business requirements and data integrity standards.
• Test and diagnose developed integrations for defects.
• Participate in project planning sessions and review requirements.

• Ensure all data-related activities adhere to business requirements and data integrity best practices.

• Participate in project planning sessions, review requirements and functional specifications.

What We’re Looking For

• High School diploma required.
• Current student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Informatics or related field. Previous internship is a plus.
• Ability to validate data received from various web services and other integration technologies (REST, XML/JSON, SOAP, ETL).
• Knowledge of relational databases, SQL queries, relational and dimensional data modeling and data warehouses.
• Strong attention to detail.

• No travel is expected of this position.

Work Location

ONSITE: A team member’s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
