Job summary

Vermeer Corporation is seeking an IT Developer I to join a remote-capable team. You will contribute to low-code development of internal apps and AI agents, enhancing productivity and digital experiences across the business.

Responsibilities include building with Power Platform, integrating APIs, participating in Agile processes, and ensuring security and maintainability of solutions. This role supports innovation and enterprise efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in IT/CS or related field.
• Experience with Power Platform apps, Dataverse, SharePoint and Azure services.
• Attention to detail with clean, well-documented code.
• Familiarity with Agile practices and data modeling basics.
• Experience with AI agents, NLP, ML and enterprise integration.

Job Summary

As an IT Developer I, you’ll contribute to the low-code development and support of internal applications and AI Agents that improve and enhance enterprise productivity, streamline workflows, and deliver innovative digital experiences and processes across the business. What You’ll Do

• Assist in the development, configuration, and maintenance of internal applications using the Microsoft Power Platform including PowerApps and Power Automate.
• Support integration efforts by working with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and relational databases to ensure seamless data flow across systems.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and story pointing, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver incremental value.
• Contribute to the creation of automated test cases to support software quality and reduce manual testing efforts.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain AI agents using platforms such as Copilot Studio, integrating them with enterprise applications and data sources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for intelligent automation, designing solutions that utilize conversational AI, predictive analytics, and autonomous decision-making.
• Ensure applications and AI agents adhere to organizational standards for security, compliance, and ethical use, and continuously monitor their performance for accuracy and reliability.
• Document application logic, workflows, and support procedures to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing across the team.

What We’re Looking For

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and relevant internship or work experience.
• Knowledgeable in use of Power Platform applications with Dataverse, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, third-party APIs and usage of Azure services.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Familiarity with Agile software development practices and basic experience with data modeling and database structure.
• Familiarity with AI agent development, including natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, and integration with enterprise systems.

Travel

• Occasional travel is expected of this position.

Work Location

REMOTE: A team member’s day-to-day work may be best completed from a location other than a Vermeer campus. There will be instances where the work requires time spent on a Vermeer campus. Discuss specific arrangements with your manager. Remote team members are eligible for business-related reimbursements per the work location policy.
