The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a full-time IT Cybersecurity Specialist (SYSANALYSIS/APPSW), GG-2210-14, located at the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (HNC) at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX. TLMS may be applied based on eligible STEM degree: $117,000 – 133,000. This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD Instruction 1400.25-V2007. Depending on the type of position you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.

Responsibilities

• This is a Centrally Managed Position. Mobility is a condition of employment. The employee must sign an Air Force-Wide Mobility Agreement
• Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program
• A pre-employment physical examination is required and a condition of employment
• Knowledge of cyber and information security applications for software, digital services, tools and applications, emerging technologies, and their implementation within DoD and Air Force system platforms and mission objectives
• Ability to use collaboration and technology to implement cybersecurity safeguards for the delivery of software systems and digital services to customers, including development of tools and support resources that encourage adoption of digital services
• Ability to conduct substantial coordination among a variety of organizations and senior-level managers to identify and integrate internal and external program issues
• Knowledge of software and/or digital product design that incorporates cybersecurity best practices, organizational structures, and structural relationships in support of digital service management
• This position is Acquisition Category IT, Level II, and the incumbent must meet appropriate certification requirements in accordance with the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) no later than 24 months after accepting this position
• This position requires Information Assurance (IA) work as an additional duty. Per DoD 8570.01-M, the incumbent must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment. A waiver of this requirement may be granted in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M. Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in reassignment of this additional duty.

Desired Experience

Kubernetes, containerization experience, hands-on cloud experience, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and automation experience using scripting languages such as Python, Go, and Bash.
