Job summary

Diocese of St. Augustine in Saint Augustine, FL seeks an IT Coordinator for Cathedral Parish School to manage and grow our mission-critical IT environment.

You will oversee Windows, Apple devices, iPads, MDM, networked systems, and classroom tech, while collaborating with the principal and IT contractor to ensure 24/7 availability. You will train staff, manage Google accounts, maintain hardware, and develop the school website, videos, and online resources to support teaching and learning.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Information Technology or related field; 4+ years of work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years system administration experience
  • Experience in server hardware, management software, storage technologies, and networking
  • Experience managing multiple projects and aligning with corporate objectives
  • Ability to plan, implement, test, and troubleshoot system software and computer hardware
  • Ability to address and resolve information technology issues promptly, effectively, and independently
  • Ability to understand highly technical concepts and communicate them to others in non-technical terms
  • Must pass criminal background check prior to employment and complete Protecting God’s Children (PGC) workshop

Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and administer IT environment including Windows, Apple, iPads, MDM, Web Filtering, and Honeywell FOB system
  • Manage iPads including iOS and app installs; prepare restrictions, app, and website profiles
  • Maintain and manage hardware including computers, iPads, cameras, Newline TVs, and printers
  • Assist personnel with daily technology and troubleshooting needs
  • Manage IP Security cameras; 24/7 availability with live viewing on/off campus
  • Train staff on hardware and software use
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures
  • Work with principal and IT company to ensure systems are maintained and upgraded 24/7
  • Meet with teachers to facilitate technology use
  • Manage teacher and student Google Accounts
  • Administer teacher and student accounts on educational sites (e.g., IXL, BrainPOP, Renaissance)
  • Manage hardware inventory
  • Develop/maintain school website
  • Produce/edit videos/graphics for school needs
  • Collaborate with IT company to resolve issues
  • Perform other related duties to ensure efficient operations

Position: IT Coordinator - Cathedral Parish School FLSA: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Principal

Department: Information Technology

Responsibilities
  • Build, manage, and administer a rapidly growing, mission critical, IT environment including: Windows, Apple, iPads, MDM, Web Filtering, Honeywell FOB system
  • Manage iPads including iOS and app installs; prepare restriction, app, and website profiles
  • Maintain and manage all hardware including computers, iPads, document cameras, Newline TVs, and printers
  • Assist personnel with daily technology and troubleshooting needs
  • Manage and maintain IP Security cameras; 24/7 availability with live viewing on and off campus
  • Train staff on hardware and software use
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures
  • Work directly with the school principal and IT company to ensure that IT systems are maintained and upgraded appropriately, ensuring their availability 24/7
  • Meet routinely with each teacher to facilitate them using technology
  • Manage teacher and student Google Accounts
  • Act as administrator for teacher and student accounts on educational websites (ex. IXL, BrainPOP, Renaissance, etc.)
  • Manage an inventory of hardware
  • Develop/maintain school website
  • Produce and edit videos/graphics for school when needed
  • Work with IT company to solve related issues as needed
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
Basic Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in Information Technology or related field; 4+ years of work experience required.
  • Minimum 3 years system administration experience
  • Experience in server hardware, management software, storage technologies, and networking required.
  • Experience successfully managing multiple projects and tasks, ensuring those same projects are properly aligned with corporate objectives
  • Ability to plan, implement, test, and troubleshoot system software and computer hardware
  • Ability to address and resolve information technology issues promptly, effectively, and independently
  • Ability to understand highly technical concepts and communicate them to others in non-technical terms
  • Must successfully pass the required criminal background check prior to employment and every five years; must complete Protecting God's Children (PGC) workshop prior to employment.
