Georgia System Operations Corporation (GSOC) seeks a Manager of IT Controls and Compliance to lead IT controls, audit readiness, and service-management capabilities across the GSOC family. The role focuses on SOX/NERC CIP compliance, documented controls, and continuous improvement while aligning with business needs and regulatory requirements.

Ideal candidates bring extensive IT controls leadership, strong communication skills, and a track record of managing budgets, audits, and ITIL-based

Qualifications

• Experience leading IT controls, compliance, audit, or process-improvement in a complex technology environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication with technical teams, stakeholders, leadership, auditors, and vendors.
• Proven people leadership, performance management, and resource planning.
• Ability to balance strategic priorities, regulatory requirements, risk, and customer expectations.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; extensive relevant experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT controls, compliance audit readiness, and service-management capabilities across GSOC and affiliates.
• Coordinate with auditors, develop management action plans, and ensure evidence completeness.
• Develop, maintain, and improve IT policies, standards, controls, and process documentation.
• Manage change, incident, knowledge, asset, license, and vendor management processes.
• Track operational metrics, control performance, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Provide leadership during major incidents, DR events, and security response activities.
• Oversee budgeting, contracts, POs, and related cost-management tasks.
• Lead staffing, performance management, coaching, and retention activities.
