Experis Technology Group in Waukegan, IL is seeking an IT Compliance Specialist II to join the IT Governance and Compliance team on a 12+ month on-site contract. You will support control assessments, audits, and remediation, and help ensure changes align with change management policies and documentation requirements.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in IT/cybersecurity or equivalent experience, plus experience with IT controls, governance processes, and cybersecurity frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Experience supporting IT controls, cybersecurity programs, change management, or governance processes.
• Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of SDLC/SLC methodologies.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; proficient in MS Office and collaboration tools.

Responsabilités

• Support and improve cybersecurity controls by collaborating with technical teams on control assessments, audits, and remediation activities.
• Review IT changes to ensure compliance with change management procedures, including approvals, testing, and documentation for access requests.
• Assist governance activities across the System Life Cycle (SLC) from planning to retirement.
• Participate in project planning and execution, tracking actions, and communicating status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT teams, business stakeholders, auditors, and leadership to drive problem-solving and maintain relationships.

Job Title: IT Compliance Specialist II

Our client, a technology-driven organization is seeking a IT Compliance Specialist II to join their team.

As a IT Compliance Specialist II, you will be part of the IT Governance and Compliance team supporting cross-functional technology groups. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a collaborative approach to achieving business objectives which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Waukegan, IL (100% On-Site)

Pay Range: $31/hr. - $36/hr.

Duration: 12+ Month Contract

What's the Job?

• Support and continuously improve cybersecurity controls by collaborating with technical teams on control assessments, audits, and remediation activities.
• Review and evaluate IT changes to ensure compliance with established change management procedures, including verification of approvals, testing, and documentation for access requests.
• Assist with governance activities across the System Life Cycle (SLC), supporting planning, requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, and retirement.
• Participate in project planning and execution by tracking action items, following through to completion, and communicating status, risks, and issues to management and stakeholders.
• Partner effectively with IT teams, business stakeholders, auditors, and leadership to facilitate meetings, drive problem-solving, and maintain strong working relationships.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting IT controls, cybersecurity programs, change management, or governance processes.
• Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management principles, and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) or System Life Cycle (SLC) methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
