Job summary

Radiant Systems Inc. is seeking an experienced Commodity Buyer to support indirect goods procurement in a hybrid Austin-based role. You will focus on IT products, manage supplier bids, and build a comprehensive contract database.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years buying experience, SAP Ariba and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables), and a background in electronics manufacturing or semiconductors is a plus. This role requires in-office presence during training weeks and regular in-office

Qualifications

• Experience Required: Commodity Buyer with indirect goods purchasing (e.g., office furniture, software products).
• Priority: Purchasing IT products is higher priority than semiconductor buying experience.
• Project Assignment: Will work on creating a contract database that includes all vendors and related details.
• SAP Ariba experience required.
• Excel required; intermediate level with pivot tables.
• Bachelor's degree can be substituted by minimum of 4 years direct work experience.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing desired; electronics industry background at a minimum.

Responsibilities

• Assist Procurement team with purchase order activities and projects. Manage and maintain Ariba files
• Analyze and communicate relevant data such as vendor quotes, parts lists, reports, etc.
• Obtain, evaluate and negotiate bids from suppliers for price, delivery, quality, and terms and conditions
• Manage open order base to optimize maximum supplier performance
• Evaluate supplier performance with various rating methods
• Assist with cost reduction activities
• Interact effectively with internal and external customers
• Produce reports, statistics, and strategies

Location: 401 S. 1st St. Austin TX 78704 USA

Duration: 12+ Months

MAX PAY RATE: $32.00/hr on W2 with no benefits

Work Arrangement: Hybrid role—2 days in office, 3 days remote

Note: During the first couple of weeks of training, full-time in-office attendance is expected

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience; eight years preferred
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing desired; electronics industry background at a minimum.
• Experience with Microsoft Products such as Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Experience in standard purchasing practices related to associated manufacturing, documents (BOMs, specifications, etc.)
