Job summary

Excellus BCBS is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to bridge business needs with IT solutions. You will gather, document, and analyze requirements, and work closely with stakeholders, solution architects, and developers to deliver functional and non-functional specifications.

Level I–IV responsibilities expand from gathering requirements to leading complex projects and mentoring teammates, while maintaining privacy and quality across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Experience compiling business, stakeholder and solution requirements.
• Ability to write clear functional/non-functional requirements and user stories.
• Familiarity with agile or waterfall methodologies and testing basics.
• Understanding of data and systems analytics.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit and document requirements.
• Create functional and non-functional requirements from stakeholder input.
• Develop domain understanding and participate in peer reviews.
• Define scope for iterative releases and MVPs.
• Lead or mentor teams and coordinate with architects and developers.
• Negotiate with IT resources and external partners; ensure privacy policies are followed.
