Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is seeking a senior SAP Benefits and Payroll consultant with 8+ years of SAP configuration experience in the benefits module, including ECC 6.0 Payroll. The ideal candidate will have public sector project experience and strong communication skills to lead complex requirements sessions.

This contractor will drive payroll rules, schemas, and wage-type configuration, produce critical documentation, and mentor County staff during knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years’ experience with SAP Benefits and payroll configuration.
• Experience with ECC 6.0 Payroll and SAP wage types.

JOB SUMMARY

This position needs to be a strong SAP benefits and payroll functional consultant with at least 8 years of recent SAP configuration experience in the benefits module, 3 of which were public sector based. This contractor will be leading and completing the complex benefits service requests involving payroll rules, schemas, and functions as well as complex wage type configuration to meet the County's business requirements. A qualified candidate will have very good communication skills along with their technical skills. This person will be leading requirements gathering sessions and meetings to gather very complex business requirements and must have refined communication skills to elicit these requirements from the County business. We will require excellent documentation skills and knowledge transfer abilities to our permanent County staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading and completing complex benefits service requests involving payroll rules, schemas, and functions
• Leading complex wage type configuration to meet business requirements
• Leading requirements gathering sessions and meetings to gather very complex business requirements
• Knowledge transfer abilities to permanent County staff
• Creation and updating of benefits and payroll reports sent to medical providers
• Automation of benefit plan selections based on represented employee organization changes

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience with the following:
• SAP Benefits
• ECC 6.0 Payroll Configuration
• SAP Payroll Rules and Schemas
• SAP Payroll Functions
• Integration between SAP Payroll and SAP Finance
• SAP Wage Type Configuration
• Business Requirements Gathering and Scoping
• SAP Payroll Business Process Testing
• At least 5 of the years of experience in SAP Benefits must have been on the SAP ECC 6.0 version (any enhancement package is ok).

Preferred Qualifications

3 years of public sector based experience in SAP benefits module.
