Citi is looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business strategy and technology delivery, ensuring complex system initiatives translate into real, measurable outcomes for the organization. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and business clients, shaping how technology decisions are made and implemented across the firm. Working within a collaborative, performance-driven environment, you will influence business planning through data-led insight and clear cross‑functional communication.
Define the scope and objectives of complex technology projects by working directly with business leaders and IT teams to align on goals and expected outcomes.
Advise business clients and users on solutions to complex system challenges by conducting thorough evaluations of business processes, technology platforms, and industry standards.
Guide system change initiatives from initial requirements gathering through to full implementation, providing analytical input at each stage to keep delivery on track.
Determine functional specifications for new or evolving systems by consulting closely with business clients to ensure technology solutions meet operational needs.
Identify and clearly communicate technology-related risks and their potential business impact, enabling informed decision‑making at a senior level.
Assess risk considerations as part of business decisions, ensuring actions align with regulatory requirements, firm policy, and sound professional conduct.
Mentor and coach junior analysts within the team, sharing expertise to raise capability and support the achievement of collective business objectives.
5 to 8 years of experience in a business analysis or technology advisory role, with a track record of managing complex, cross‑functional projects.
Skilled in data analysis with intermediate to advanced proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite, using these tools to produce clear, evidence‑based recommendations.
Communicates with clarity and precision in both written and verbal formats, adapting style effectively for technical and non‑technical audiences.
Manages multiple concurrent workstreams with confidence, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
Builds and sustains effective working relationships across business and technology functions, facilitating collaboration and shared problem‑solving.
Takes initiative independently, identifying and acting on priorities without requiring close oversight.
Holds a bachelor’s degree or university‑level qualification or has equivalent professional experience.
