Job summary

Hogan Lovells Cadwalader is seeking an IT Business Analyst in Washington, DC to bridge business goals with IT solutions. You will partner with Business Relationship Managers and project teams to understand objectives, document requirements, and guide the delivery of information systems and cloud services.

Ideal candidates bring strong communication, analytical skills, and a track record in law firm or professional services environments.

Qualifications

• Experience as a business analyst in a business change and/or project-based environment.
• Experience on IT projects and awareness of software development methodologies (Waterfall and Agile).
• Experience working in a law firm environment or a similarly professional services culture is desirable.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar project management tool is preferred.
• Consulting experience delivering end-to-end business solutions preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Elicit business requirements for information applications, data management, and storage solutions.
• Represent the client's interests throughout the application lifecycle and assist business users in analyzing and improving their processes.
• Provide both customer deliverables and business analysis, aiding with third-party / cloud software services or other software products.
• Work with stakeholders to elicit, document, agree, and prioritize business requirements.
• Act as the functional go-to person with multiple business stakeholders.
• Communicate business requirements to product delivery specialists.
• Develop business cases and benefits realization plans with users and IT teams.
• Source, evaluate, and select solutions that fit business requirements.
• Assist users in implementing and optimizing software solutions to realize benefits.
• Develop and maintain acceptance criteria for project deliverables and support QA testing.
