Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Austin, TX, is seeking an IT Business Analyst to join the CAPPS FIN Support Non-Capital team. The role focuses on system analysis, requirements gathering, and collaboration with developers to deliver enhancements and fixes in a timely manner.

The position requires 4+ years of IT BA experience, strong SQL/PeopleSoft knowledge, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams. Telework may be eligible; full-time onsite at 701 W 51st St, Austin.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience as an IT Business Analyst or QA Engineer.
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials data elements and table structures.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues in a complex system environment.

Responsibilities

• Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
• Designs, codes, and modifies complex computer programs, subroutines, triggers, stored procedures, objects, classes, and scripts.
• Oversees trainers, technical support staff, network specialists, and contract staff to perform modifications and updates to existing systems.
• Develops and maintains documentation CAPPS Financial Security roles and tasks for internal IT staff and stakeholders.
