Job summary

Highmark Health is offering the Summer 2027 Undergraduate IT Audit Internship. The program provides hands-on experience in IT audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and governance across Highmark Health and its subsidiaries.

You will work with IT Audit, Information Security, Privacy, Risk Management, and business professionals to evaluate controls and risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day audit activities in IT assurance and advisory engagements.
• Assist in evaluating technology and security risks and documenting audit results.
• Contribute to research, analysis, and development of action-oriented recommendations.
• Support planning and implementation of projects and initiatives within the assigned area.
• Assist in documenting and reporting findings to stakeholders across the organization.
• Work within regulated environments with data privacy and HIPAA requirements.
• Support the team in completing tasks to protect organizational assets and information systems.

Education

Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field
