Job summary

Highmark Health is offering a Summer 2027 Undergraduate IT Audit Internship to gain practical experience across IT audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and governance within Highmark Health and its subsidiaries.

Interns will work with IT Audit, Information Security and Privacy teams to evaluate controls and assist in risk assessment, while learning audit methodologies in highly regulated environments with HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications

• Full or part-time undergraduate enrollment in an accredited college or university.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship for this role.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day IT audit activities within Internal Audit.
• Participate in IT assurance and advisory engagements.
• Assess technology and security risks and controls.
• Perform research and analysis to support audit findings.
• Document audit results and prepare recommendations for action.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
