Job summary

Highmark Health is offering the Summer 2027 Undergraduate IT Audit Internship to gain practical experience across IT audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and governance activities within Highmark Health and its subsidiaries.

Interns will work with IT Audit, Information Security, Privacy, Risk Management, and business professionals to evaluate controls and manage IT and cybersecurity risks while complying with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to plan assignments and resolve day-to-day operating problems.
• Under supervision, provide entry-level professional services to day-to-day operating objectives with guidance from senior personnel.
• Undertake and/or participate in projects to develop professional skills and expertise for the organization.
• Participate in planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise.
• Conduct research and reporting inclusive of recommendations or proposals for action.
• Undertake related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Education
