Job summary

Highmark Health Summer 2027 Undergraduate IT Audit Internship provides hands-on experience supporting information technology audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and governance activities across Highmark Health and its subsidiaries.

Interns work with IT Audit, Information Security, Privacy, and Risk Management to evaluate control effectiveness, protect assets, and ensure regulatory compliance, while gaining exposure to enterprise IT risk assessment and audit methodologies.

Qualifications

• Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders in planning assignments and resolving day-to-day operational problems.
• Under supervision, provide entry-level professional services aligned with day-to-day objectives, with guidance from senior personnel.
• Participate in projects and programs to develop professional skills
• Participate in planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise
• Conduct research and reporting inclusive of recommendations or action proposals
• Undertake related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate to objectives of the operating unit
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
