Job summary

The Ohio Department of Youth Services is seeking a detail-oriented Fixed Asset Security Manager to strengthen IT security posture by overseeing the asset lifecycle. You will maintain accurate asset records, ensure secure distribution, monitor software governance, and coordinate with vendors to uphold security standards.

Primary work location is in Columbus, OH, with a full-time schedule at the William Green Building.

Qualifications

• 36 mos. exp. in computer data security through monitoring system/network traffic or related areas.
• Associate degree or relevant program in computer science required, plus security experience.
• Equivalent of minimum Class Qualifications for Employment with Ohio Cyber Apprenticeship program may apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage and safeguard agency-wide IT hardware including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and network equipment.
• Maintain accurate, compliant, and auditable asset records in the asset management system.
• Oversee secure lifecycle of IT assets from procurement through decommissioning and tagging.
• Ensure software and equipment are cataloged per IT security policies and configuration standards.
• Coordinate secure distribution of IT equipment to DYS facilities and stakeholders.
