Job summary

CompucomStaffing is seeking an IT Asset Management Technician to join our client’s onsite team in Plano, TX. You will provide end-user support, manage PC inventory and asset tagging, and coordinate with vendors for repairs and disposal. This role requires strong organizational skills and reliable communication with HR and users.

The position offers onsite work with comprehensive benefits and W2 employment. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Local wage range applies.

Responsibilities

• Manage PC inventory room and register new PCs with asset tags.
• Process defective PC repair through vendor.
• Dispose aged PCs and remove assets from client database.
• Provide phone and email user support and update HR on new hires.
• Deploy and retrieve PCs to users and Tier 1 IT at onsite/remote offices.
• Support and maintain printers.

Our client is currently seeking a qualified IT Asset Management Technician to join their team onsite in Plano, TX and provide end-user support.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Manage PC inventory room while registering newly received PCs with asset tags into client system
• Process defective PC repair through PC repair service vendor
• Disposal of aged PC / hard drives through disposal vendor, and remove asset from the client database
• Provide phone and email user support and new hire status updates to HR
• Deployment and retrieval of PCs to users and Tier 1 IT at onsite / remote offices
• Provide support for and maintenance of printers

Skills And Qualifications

• Experience using Microsoft Excel for database management, creating charts and pivot tables
• Good communication and customer support skills
• Must be organized / detail-oriented

Wage Range

The rate for this position is between $20.25 - $27.00 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
