Job summary

CompucomStaffing, a division of CompuCom Systems, Inc., is seeking an Asset Management Technician to join the team onsite in Plano, TX and provide end-user support. The role involves managing inventory, tagging assets, and coordinating printer-related tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Ideal candidates will have experience with Excel-based databases and ticketing systems, plus strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience with asset management or IT inventory is preferred.
• Experience using ticketing systems to track assets (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk).
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.
• Must be organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory room and register assets with asset tags in the system.
• Manage printer servers and IP addresses for printers.
• Process defective printers and monitors repairs through a vendor.
• Disposal of aged printers/monitors/accessories and remove asset from database.
• Provide phone and email end-user support.
• Deploy and retrieve printers/monitors/accessories to users onsite/remote.
• Provide support for and maintenance of printers and monitors.

Our client is currently seeking a qualified Asset Management Technician to join their team onsite in Plano, TX and provide end-user support.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Manage inventory room while registering newly received printers, monitors, accessories with asset tags into the system
• Manage printer servers and IP addresses for printers
• Process defective printers and monitors repairs through a repair service vendor
• Disposal of aged printers / monitors/ accessories through disposal vendor, and remove asset from the client database
• Provide phone and email user support
• Deployment and retrieval of printers, monitors, accessories to users onsite/remote office
• Provide support for and maintenance of printers and monitors

Skills And Qualifications

• Experience using Microsoft Excel for database management, creating charts and pivot tables
• Experience using ticketing system such as ServiceNow, Zendesk, etc. to track and monitor assets
• Good communication and customer support skills
• Must be organized / detail-oriented

Wage Range

The rate for this position is between $20.25 - $27.00 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
